My first trip to Ireland was in 1994 when I traveled with eight friends, rented a 13th century castle in Loughrea, Co. Galway, and toured the country by car for a week. Returning a few years later I was amazed at how quickly I acclimated myself to driving on the left, navigating and the B&B system. In fact, I returned twice that same year, introducing my cousin to Ireland a few months afterward.

After a few more trips and helping others with their plans I created Enchanting Ireland to introduce first-time travelers to Ireland by offering my first-hand advice (and sharing my mistakes!), itinerary help and general information regarding travel in Ireland.

While I am knowledgable of Ireland and traveling Europe, I do not consider myself and expert by any means and if someone presents themself as such -- RUN!
